Chillax

Let Chillax and his universe of heroes and villains help teach kids (grades K-6) coping and social skills that last.

So many responses to childhood behavior problems, (e.g., off-task, disruptive, aggressive, unmotivated) fail to plan for the long-haul. The Chillax Program is tailor made to not only help with immediate concerns, but provide support and instruction for the days and weeks that follow. Let Chillax and his universe of heroes and villains help teach kids (grades K-6) coping and social skills that last.

At the end of this course, attendees will:

  • Provide immediate intervention during behavioral outbursts by utilizing the Chillax Handbook for both “now” and “later” support strategies.
  • Master the “Hero Card” strategy to quickly implement positive replacement behavior instruction for students in distress.
  • Design long-term coping skills instruction through the use of engaging “Coping Comics” and specialized lesson plans like “A Whole New World”.
  • Implement structural behavioral supports by utilizing functional assessments and a standard BIP (Behavior Intervention Plan) template.
  • Foster student empathy and emotional intelligence using targeted resources such as the “Empathy Energy” comic series.
  • Streamline home-school communication by providing parents with standardized information letters regarding behavioral progress and strategies.
